WCG Korea qualifier 2010. Last week KoreaFoCus played against a Warcraft 3 player... sry, he played against THE Warcraft 3 player Korea Moon whitch he defeated 2-1 and is now in the semi-finals aginst the big Orc talent Korea viOlet. We all know that Korea FoCuS mirror game is pretty good so we hope for the best. This week we have just two sets, so its pretty one-sided, or not?

1. Set: The first map is Twisted Meadows, whith most of the Orc players like. FoCus starts as the red Orc ind the bottom right corner and viOlet as the blue Orc in the upper left starting position, so we have cross position. We see at both sides the Blade Master so there wont be any crazy tower rush action. Both start with a little harass, but it turned into normal early creeping. So normal early game in a mirror match. We see the same 2nd heros, the Shadow Hunter and also the normal bestiary, spirit loge build. So let the microwar beginn...





2. Set: Also the 2nd map is a big four player map named Turtle Rock. Its again a cross position and FoCuS is again the red and viOlet the blue Orc. Both players chose the Blade Master as their first heros and both creep the blue oger at the shop first. And like you want it in a mirror also both player find the same item. We see nearly the same game as in the first set. So again the micro has to descide who will go to the finals...

Christian "IGORAK" E. the captain of Team Switzerland will also be our teamcaptain. He already played for our old clan Binary Five 5 years ago and was also a part of our team in the WCG national finals in 2008. Thomas "Rindi", one of the players has some leader experience, too, since he was captain for team Austria. But they are sure not the only ones with a lot of experience. The other players from the team are also former EAS and EPS players. You can find more information about each player in the Line-Up below. We wish a lot of luck to our new cs team as a part of Binary Evasion.

He isn’t nearly on the same level as Tixo, gob b or forest, but he is always there if the team needs a maddfrager or any special tactics.

HxE played for almost 3 years with IGORBOY together and they both know each other very well. He's a very good aimer and he's without a doubt the clutch-round-man.

Germany Thomas „TheWho“ St.
With his EAS 1. Div experience and his madfragger instinct "hollister" is a enrichment for the whole team.

Austria Thomas „rindi“ B.
The ex Austrian teamcaptain has a hell of a lot of experience and therefore he’s also the ingame leader of the team. He plays the 2nd AWP.

Austria Andreas „rYo“ D.
rYo who played for almost an eternity with rindi was party of many EPS Teams and plays the 1. AWP.

Goals:
As many Cups as possible, Lan-Parties, EAS 1. Division

Motivation:
Counter-strike 1.6 is still the leading ego shooter title in esports and we hope that this won't change soon. We all know that there will be an end of the cs 1.6 era but till then we will be having a good time and show you what we have learned in the last 9 years of playing.

Statement of Christian „IGORAK“ E:
After several hours ingame, we finally could find our „dreamteam“. We are really happy to have a team with such great players and we are all motivated as Cs 1.6 was just released.
We will take place at the EAS and our goal is to reach the 1. divsion in our first season. We practise arround 25hours a week to get better known with each other and develop some new tactical stuff.

We will, as you probably remember, watch the second round of the Korea WCG korea qualification 2010. It is the quarterfinals so there are only the 8 best players remaining. Our ex-BEV Player Korea Hyo Sub „FoCuS“ Eom faces „the fifth race“ also known as Korea Jang "Moon" Jae Ho. This two top players will show us three great games on Echo Isles, Twisted Meadows and Turtle Rock. We hope you will enjoy the matches and if there are any questions, please post them into the commentsection below or into the forum.

1. Set: The first map is Echo Isles, a two player map that's very unlikely to have a long macro game. Both players have normal timings on the altar and Moon starts his Acient of War creep at the mercenary camp to get his first hero, the Deamon Hunter, fast on Level 2. In the meantime FoCuS is creeping the blue oger at the market spot. After some nice harass of Moon the game starts to get interesting. Both player continue playing standard (Moon with his famous talon strategy) and so the micro of these two top players has to decide the first map.



2. Set: The four player map Twisted Meadows is the secound map of this best of three. After the nightelf scouts the cross position he decides to go fast Hunts together with his Deamon Hunter. The orc is playing as normal as orc can play. The nightelf picks the Beast Master as his second hero and goes straight to Tier 3 and tries to make some damage to the orcs base. But the orc has the right timing and the Shadow Hunter pops out of the altar just as the push started. Finally Moon does what he is famous for, Talons. Let's see if he chose the right strategy...



3. Set: The third map is again a four player map named Turtle Rock. There is again a big distance between the bases. Will the nightelfplayer again play a special strategy? This time Moon plays a normal build order with Deamon Hunter and the Orc plays also a standard strategy with his Blade Master. In the early till the midgame nothing special happens. Moon plays his Beast Master talon strategy the third time and FoCuS does his normal orc mix with raiders, Spirit Walkers, Kodo and the Tauren Chieftain. This normal game will decide who will advance to the WCG Korea semi-finals...

]]> ecrop@binary-evasion.com (Lars Vögtlin) Next SC2CL match Starcraft 2 Clanleague (SC2CL). In todays match our Starcraft 2 players will face the german team of Germany Psychedelic at 19.00 cet. It will be the Top match of the Division 4a, because Binary Evasion is placed first in the Group and the Team Psychedelic is on the second place. After the Defwin last week against the team of Norway just this clanware will be our first real fight for points in the SC2CL. EcrOp will stream the clanwar so tune in!

The team is really disappointed. HaloX, who normally is able to show his perfomance really well in important games had a lot of badluck and lost 2-0. 2 of our favorite players are missing at the moment. The 2on2 could have helped out for a 2-3 which is better than a 1-4 but it didn't seem to be a lucky day and eshA's computer crashed. For the next week we will have 4 favorite players, which will try to make a 5-0 win come true. Binary Evasion won't give up!

]]> ecrop@binary-evasion.com (Lars Vögtlin) A little backflash... Binary Evasion was just 6 months old but already did one of the biggest deals in the swiss esport history. With the full-time Warcraft 3 progamer Hyo Sub “Focus” Eon BEV made the step out of the swiss/german scene into the world of the top teams in WC3. Because most of the SC2 player don't know FoCuS or even Warcraft 3 we will make a little series about the past of BEV with youtube videos and some small storys about the players.

Today we want to start with be best players BEV ever had in his rows. Hyo Sub “Focus” Eon, commander of the orcs, was or still is one of the top 10 Warcraft 3 players on the earth and had a lot of success in 1v1 but also in teamleagues. He played for teams like wicked, Fnatic, MYM and also won also the famous WC3L . And at the 27th of july he joined the until this day unknown swiss clan Binary Evasion. Under the Flag of Binary Evasion he won several ZOTAC and other online cups, won the korean WCG qualifyer and participated at the WCG in LA. Because FoCuS is our most famous ex player, we will post every wednesday a little news with the replays of his games at the WCG korea qualifyer. I hope you guys will enjoy the video and if you have any questions about FoCuS or the history of BEV just post them in the forum.

This is the first round of the WCG Korea Qualifier 2010. The human player from WemadeFOX RohJinWook faces our Orc Player FoCuS on the map Ancient Isles. FoCuS first hero is for sure the Blade Master and RohJinWook plays with the Archmage a harassment strat. On T2 the Human player buys a Beast Master at the tavern and builds two Arcane Sanctum. Orc continues his standart play and then the Human did what Humans can do best against orcs.

On the Second map Echo Isles RohJinWook makes a Mountain King first and trys to fast expand. But as we all know, its pretty hard to fast expand with a MK so the Human has some big problems with it. FoCuS builds two Beastiary with fast ensnare and the Human is still on T1...

Statement Christian 'IGORAK' Egli:
I’m really happy and thankful to the sesf for giving me such a big chance.
After a hard week we finally could find a lineup that fits together and we are really motivated to play our first and hopefully not last match against Croatia.
Sadly there was nearly no time for training because the decisions we had to make were all close to the deadline of the 12th of January.
As written above, our first match will be against Croatia. The winner of this match will face United Kingdom. I feel confident about the match versus Croatia and I can promise that everybody in the team will give his best.
Some of us will play the match against Croatia at our bootcamp office at the ESS Development AG which hopefully increases our motivation again. You are all welcome to support us.
